Lambertz Aachener Kräuterprinten Herb Printen Cookies, 150 g
In 1688, Heinrich Lambertz was granted permission by the Council of the Royal See and the Holy Roman Empire to build a bakery in Aachen in NW Germany. Over the decades, the bakery became famous with its Printen. Lambertz was court purveyor of the kings of Prussia and Belgium. In 1820, Henry Lambertz IV succeeded in making an innovation that still has an effect today: he sweetened the printen dough, rolled it out smoothly and cut it into rectangles. The herbal (or Kräuter) printen was born.
