Every year Lebkuchen Schmidt presents a new motif on the embossed metal chest. The deep burgundy and golds of the 2023 chest frame two of the most iconic structures in the Nuremberg Hauptmarkt (Market Square): the Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) on the left and the Frauenkirche ("Church of Our Lady"). The Fountain and the Church were built in the 14th century.

In addition to the Lebkuchen and pastries you also receive a 21.5 x 18 cm metal plaque to hang on a wall or stand on a table top. For 2023 the motif is "The Glass Blower".

Among the many treats tightly packed into this large chest is the 2023 Lebkuchen of the Year - Southern Elise infused with the sweetness of blood orange.
