Nutcrackers have been a tradition of the Erzgebirge region of Germany for centuries. But that doesn't mean they can't reflect current trends! The artisans at the Richard Glässer studios created this special limited edition Nutcracker of President Joe Biden at his Inauguration in early 2021.

Each Nutcracker from the Richard Glässer studios in Seiffen Germany is handcrafted and hand painted. I got to visit their workspace last summer and see the artisans in action.
