I added this gorgeous piece to my shop in early Spring when I could see out my window birds swimming in the icy river behind my home. They could have used a fun beanie (or toque as we call it here in Canada!) to keep them warm!
The pieces in the Drechslerei Martin Collection are handcrafted at the Turnery (Drechslerei in German) owned by Torsten Martin - a fourth generation woodcrafter in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) of eastern Germany. We are thrilled to have received these pieces as part of our growing offering of handmade European folk art.
