
Shopping our Easter collections is a little different than shopping from large online retailers — and that’s actually part of what makes it special.
A Few Things to Know First

We are not Amazon.
Gingerbread World is a small, family-run shop based in Winnipeg, Canada. I personally curate the collections and pack your orders, and the wonderful Elizabeth looks after Customer Service. -
Our items are imported from Europe in limited quantities.
Many pieces are seasonal and produced in small batches. Once they are sold (or pre-sold), restocks can take time — if the items are available at all. -
Some Easter items are in stock now, while others arrive later.
Many chocolates and specialty treats from Europe typically arrive in late February or early March. Each product clearly shows its availability just below the “Add to Cart” button.
So What Happens When You Place an Order?
If your order contains only IN-STOCK items:
Your order will be carefully packed within 2–3 business days and shipped to you. However our "Shipping Dept." (*that's me!) is away for a few days so orders will not ship till January 26.
If your order contains any PRE-ORDER items:
Your entire order will ship together once all items have arrived in our Canadian warehouse (typically early March for Easter collections).
This ensures your items arrive safely in one shipment.
Payment & Reservations
Your payment (credit card or PayPal) is processed at the time of purchase.
This reserves your items and removes them from inventory so they cannot sell out before the shipment arrives from Europe.
Because we bring in only one seasonal shipment per category each year, pre-ordering is the best way to secure the exact items you want for Easter.
How to Tell If an Item Is Pre-Order or In Stock
The easiest way to tell is by looking at the large red button on the product page.

If the button says “Add to Cart” – the item is in stock and ready to ship.

If the button says “Pre-Order” – the item is not yet in stock and is being reserved for you.
For Pre-Order items, you will also see a notice that reads:
“Pre-Order this Item for March Delivery. Purchase this item today for delivery in March — well in time for Easter.”
Ordering a Mix of In-Stock and Pre-Order Items
We ship orders all at one time once everything is in stock.
If you would prefer to receive in-stock items sooner, you are welcome to place two separate orders. (Standard shipping charges would apply to each shipment.)
