Wendt & Kühn Grünhainichen Angel - Angel in Toy Village, Sitting
This Angel figure showcases the remarkable craftsmanship of the Wendt & Kühn artisans. It also celebrates various wood art forms from the Erzgebirge region - the Splinter Box, the turned wooden trees and ring wood-turning or "Reifendrehen" (the tiny horse figure). Plus it's a joy-filled gift for yourself or a dear friend.
Named for the town in Germany where these precious figures are made, the Grünhainichen Angels were first sketched and created in 1923 by founder Grete Wendt. Each Angel has exactly eleven white dots on their little green wings – their famous trademark the world over.
