The Herrnhuter Star is both a beautiful decoration and an amazing story. The 25 point Stars were created 160 years ago in the Moravian Church boarding schools in Herrnhut Germany. The teachers and children built the Stars each Christmas Season to bring comfort and joy while parents were overseas working with the church in other parts of the world. The Stars, the company that makes them and the community behind it all are a wonderful testament to perseverance through hard times and of hope. The Plastic Star may be used indoors or outdoors. The Paper Stars are for indoor use only. The electrical cords are made for North American sockets.
