A beloved Christmas specialty from Germany, Lambertz Aachener Dominos (also known as Dominosteine) are a delicious combination of textures and flavours. Each bite begins with a soft gingerbread base, followed by layers of fruity jelly and smooth persipan—a traditional almond confection similar to marzipan—before being coated in rich dark chocolate.

These have become one of my own Christmas favourites. My German father-in-law used to guard his stash of Dominos every holiday season, but when he finally let me try one, I understood why! My advice? Buy the larger box—I can easily finish the small one all by myself.
