The Angel with Bell and Candle with the famous eleven dots on each of its tiny green wings. Angels are depicted with a bell and candle to symbolize their roles as messengers and guides, with the bell representing the sound of their arrival and the candle representing light and guidance: a Guardian Angel.
Named for the town in Germany where these precious figures are made, the Grünhainichen Angels were first sketched and created in 1923 by founder Grete Wendt. Each Angel has exactly eleven white dots on their little green wings – their famous trademark the world over.
