I have been admiring this gorgeous set of figures since the day we first took on the Wendt und Kühn line from Germany. I love the deep rich colours and the natural drape of the clothing and all the attention paid to the tiny gifts on the little girl's sled.

Re-introduced in 2014, this pair of figures was originally created by Olly Wendt – the imaginative life-long friend of company founder Grete Wendt. Olly, mother to twins, Hans and Sigrid, created the Winter Children as special gifts for a close circle of friends.

Beautiful Set!

One of my favourite sets from Wendt and Kühn! The details on the Winter Kinder are amazing. The tree with the little “candles” give it such charm and nostalgia. My favourite is the sled being pulled by the girl. The extra attention to detailing the load of bread and bottle of champagne with the Christmas star and apple. Both are exquisitely handcrafted and painted to perfection. I will enjoy bringing this out at Christmas every year!
