Richard Sellmer Verlag Vintage Free Standing Paper Advent Calendar, "Old Town"
Richard Sellmer Verlag (which means "printer") was founded in 1945 and has produced Advent calendars ever since then. They are the oldest Advent calendar publisher in the world. This free-standing Calendar is a re-print of a classic from 1952.
A busy and colourful illustration of an iconic Christmas Market in the "Altstadt" (old town) of what could be any town in Germany. So many delightful details to find in this sprawling scene and more to come behind each window.
Many customers have told us over the years that they are looking for a festive backdrop to display behind their collection of Christmas figures. This calendar can be unfolded and set on a flat surface.
