Here’s an easy dessert that’s so yummy and taste a little different than everything else out there!
Lebkuchen Tiramisu
You need:
- 300 grams Elisen Lebkuchen (this is about 5 large round biscuits - may be nut Elisen ,glazed or chocolate)
- 500 grams Vanilla Ice Cream (about 2 1/2 cups)
- About ¼ litre strong Coffee (a little more than 1 cup)
- Liqueur to taste – perhaps Dark Rum or Cointreau or maybe Frangelico or Amaretto (my opinion...more is always better!!)
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
To Do:
- Thaw the Vanilla Ice Cream till softened
- Mix the Coffee and Liqueur in a shallow dish. Break the Elisen Lebkuchen in chunks and briefly dip into the Coffee and Liqueur mixture
- In clear dessert bowls layer the Ice Cream then Lebkuchen finishing with a layer of Ice Cream and sprinkle with Cocoa Powder
- Leave the dessert bowls in the fridge for at least 3 hours (ideally overnight) and then serve
Enjoy!
