Giving Wings to our Dreams - Wendt und Kühn Introduces The Dreamer Angel
Since 2007 the designers at Wendt und Kühn in Germany have introduced a new Gold Edition Angel each year. The Grünhainichen Angel with its eleven white dots on each little green wing holds a 24-karat gold-plated accessory. The very first edition was the Cupid with gold-plated bow and arrow.
The Gold Edition Angel is normally unveiled in the late summer but given the uncertainties in 2020 caused by the Covid crisis, W&K made the decision to introduce the new Angel early. So may I introduce you to Gold Edition Angel No. 13 - The Dreamer.
When they were creating the Angel with the gold-plated Butterfly more than a year ago, little could they have imagined how symbolic its meaning would be for the times we find ourselves in today. The little Angel invites us to dream and encourages us to give our imaginations free rein.
The delicate wings of the butterfly, adorned with a pattern of very fine lines on the top and bottom, are plated in 24-karat gold. Keep in mind that the butterfly is only 2 cm in diameter - the size of a Canadian dime - so the intricacy is rather remarkable.
Gingerbread World stocks the Dreamer Angel on a painted grey base. The Limited Edition Angel on gold-plated base is available for special order and comes in its own handmade splinter box.
If you interested in ordering the Limited Edition Dreamer (or any of the Gold Edition Angels on the gold base) you are welcome to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or join our special Wendt und Kühn Newsletter so we can let you know about the W&K Special Order Events that we make available 3-4 times per year.
May 2020 transform from uncertainty to hope and good dreams for you,
