Reflections, Gratitude, and Excitement: Wrapping Up Christmas at Gingerbread World
As the Christmas season comes to a close at Gingerbread World, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been a challenging but wonderful few months. It’s been such a pleasure to connect with so many returning customers who make our shop part of their Holiday traditions year after year. Seeing new customers discover our uniquely European treasures for the first time has been just as exciting. Thank you for letting us play a small role in your celebrations – it’s an honour we don’t take lightly.
This season wasn’t without its challenges. Labour strikes at the Port of Montreal and Canada Post created head aches for everyone and used up a lot of time and resources. Fortunately we had an exceptional team of young people packing orders with us and together, with you, we navigated the hurdles.
Your patience, understanding, and grace made all the difference. It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to have such supportive and thoughtful customers. Truly, you’re at the heart of everything we do.
We’re also incredibly fortunate to work with an extraordinary product line sourced from some of Europe’s finest artisans and suppliers. From intricate hand-blown ornaments to delectable Lebkuchen, every item we offer is chosen with care to bring joy and authenticity to your Holidays. It’s a privilege to share these beautiful traditions with you and your families.
Every year we try to find new items to add to the line up of old favourites and classics. The Advent Calendar Collection is really fun to create. Seemed like our customers enjoyed the new and novel but yet again the Bonne Maman Jam Advent Calendar was far and away the most popular.
Lebkuchen continues to be a fan favourite. We have enjoyed reading your reviews about the pastries you enjoyed this year - thanks so much for taking the time to write.
As we bid farewell to the 2024 Christmas season, we’re kicking off our End of Season Sale, running from January 6 to January 20. It’s the perfect opportunity to stock up on some of your favorite items or discover something new to treasure. Don’t miss out on this chance to add a little more European magic to your collection.
