Victor Schmidt Mozart Kugeln, 9 pcs in Cello Bag
These Mozart Kugeln are in fact made in Austria and, although Gingerbread World specializes in treats from Germany, it is appropriate that these yummy little balls of marzipan, nougat and chocolate come from the country that their namesake lived and worked in - Austria (Salzburg).
The makers of Mozart Kugeln claim that it's the layers within in the bonbon that lead to its being named for the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart whose music was beautifully multi-layered.
The Victor Schmidt Mozart Kugeln are less expensive than the Reber Kugeln but also very good. Reber's Mozart Kugel has a higher proportion of marzipan to nougat and the marzipan is wonderfully textured. The Victor Schmidt Kugel has a more nougat in comparison to marzipan. Both wonderful options.
