The amount of detail and the level of craftsmanship required to achieve such detail in so small a figure is truly astonishing. This Angel carries a stack of hand painted gift boxes topped with a bunch of flowers that must have been crafted and painted under a microscope.

Named for the town in Germany where these precious figures are made, the Grünhainichen Angels were first sketched and created in 1923 by founder Grete Wendt. Each Angel has exactly eleven white dots on their little green wings – their famous trademark the world over.
